The combination of a rigid holder and a customised device nest makes the assembly of a rAPSD application much easier and robust. It lends itself particularly well for inhalers with short mouthpieces such as the Ellipta. The holder gives a unique handsfree situation for the lab personnel. A mouthpiece adapter (MPA) is custom fitted for each type of device to achieve a leak-tight fit between device and throat. In combination with the flow controller TriggerBox III sealing is easily confirmed within 10 s.

Other anatomical throats can be catered for, such as the VCU and Alberta. The same goes for the nest and device holder, which can be customised for any device. The plate serving as a junction between the throat and device, and holding the MPA, is easily slided into place. Several plates can be ordered making testing efficient by always having clean and dry plates ready to be mounted before next dosing.
